Welcome to AEPSE 2023

As the Chairman of the Conference, I would like to cordially invite you to the 13^th Asian-European International Conference on Plasma Surface Engineering (AEPSE 2023), which was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. AEPSE 2023 will be held from November 5^th (Sunday) to 8^th (Wednesday) in Busan Metropolitan City, Republic of Korea.

AEPSE 2023 is jointly organized by the Asian Joint Committee for Applied Plasma Science and Engineering (AJC-APSE) and The Korean Society of Surface Science and Engineering (KSSSE), in collaboration with the European Joint Committee on Plasma and Ion Surface Engineering (EJC/PISE).

Since the first AEPSE conference held in Seoul, Korea in 1997, the AEPSE conference has gained increasing interest as a globally recognized open forum for scientists and engineers in Asia, Europe, and other countries in the field of plasma science and engineering, and plasma technology. The major topics in AEPSE 2023 will cover a variety of technological advances in Plasma fundamentals, Coatings and thin films, Energy and environment, Bio, medicine and agriculture, and Materials and functional surface treatment etc.

Busan, located on the southeastern tip of the Korean peninsula, is the second-largest city in Korea. The natural environment of Busan is a harmonious combination of mountains, rivers, and sea. Its geography includes a coastline featuring superb beaches and scenic cliffs, mountains providing excellent hiking and extraordinary views, and hot springs scattered throughout the city. The city's natural endowments and rich history have resulted in Busan's increasing reputation as a world-class city for tourism and culture, and it is also becoming renowned as a hot spot destination for international conventions. Busan is the ideal location to meet and discuss equally intriguing plasma physics, plasma chemistry, and their applications, in a relaxed atmosphere, while enjoying the high-quality scientific program of AEPSE 2023.
